Catrina Scanlan (Ireland)
Catrina Scanlan is a registered Systemic Psychotherapist/Family Therapist and Supervisor, with over forty years of clinical experience. Catrina began her career in nursing, specialising in paediatric oncology and then moved into the area of child protection where she developed and managed the Family Welfare Conference Service within Tusla for twelve years. Catrina now works as a Senior Family Therapist in the Clanwilliam Institute and in her private practice with individuals, couples and families. She is also part of the Clanwilliam Institute’s Family Therapy Training Team. She has trained in Non Violent Resistance with Dr. Declan Coogan (NUI Galway) and uses this model extensively in her work with individual families, foster carers and groups. In addition, she is a CPVA and NVR trainer and has trained a range of professionals including Family Therapists, Social Workers, Education and Welfare Officers and Social Care Workers to name a few. Catrina is also a founding member of NVR Ireland.
