When the Going Gets Tough
NVR Interventions in Sub-Optimal, Uncertain or Extreme Conditions
NVR interventions often come up against life’s unpredictability. Working conditions are seldom optimal. Interventions often require creativity, improvisation, out-of- the-box thinking, and some risk-taking. In this workshop, three veterans of work with families of adult invisible children share some of the more unconventinal techniques they developed over 9 years of NVR practice, facing absent support, families with dysfunctions, and extreme domestic violence, anxiety or social withdrawal, addictions, and suicide threats on the part of the adult child.
