To boldly go: from anxiety to the co-creation of solutions in parent groups undertaking the SPACE programme

To boldly go: from anxiety to the co-creation of solutions in parent groups undertaking the SPACE programme
Having already incorporated the NVR anxiety protocol
1 in working with individual families, we now also deliver the SPACE programme
2 in a parent-group format within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) settings.
This has had a positive, and in many cases transformative, effect on parents‘ sense of empowered presence in overcoming their own anxiety, thus enabling their children – even those presenting with extreme difficulties arising from factors such as neurodevelopmental difference or entrenched anxiety- to believe themselves that change is possible.

Format: Workshop, Presentation • Focus: Contexts such as school, social pedagogy, trauma, dependency
